Description

I'm from the Caribbean and I am currently living in China (University Student) This is my first Intel build and second build from scratch. I wanted something powerful and fully capable to render my 3d designs (Architecture Major) and also play the latest games available. This machine has impressed me fully! Some of the parts are Chinese branded so I entered them in the custom parts section. In total this PC cost me about $500 USD (2700 cn). I have plans of adding a second video card for crossfire and also and all in one cooler. I will update my post when I do. I also plan on adding more RAM I currently have a single 8Gb stick and will get another 3 (8Gb) to take my total to 32Gb. All parts beside those specified are genuine so I don't appreciate anyone making comments about fake stuff. I reused my previous SSD and HDD. The SSD only has My OS on it. System boots up pretty quickly and is generally fast.

This is my first post on this site so I would enjoy your feedback. Let me know what you guts think and also where I can possibly improve going forward.

Thanks!

r9 270x > r7 370 (that's why it's r7 and not r9 lol)

I don't think he cares if the 290X is better. He has a great build on a budget and he doesn't really need an r9

... I'm saying his GPU is better than a new gen GPU, am I insulting him?

For rendering you will need to tweak your card so it can use the proper driver. You have great power ready to be unleashed, but right now your gpu is optimized for game not for architecture like the Fire and Quadro cards.

Google a bit about it and you will find what you need!

Yes I'm fully aware of that, I have working experience in the field however on my current budget those cards are too expensive especially over here in China. I'm 21 btw. Thanks for the advice!

I meant without replacing your card! Only making some change to enhance it so you could use cad drivers and make it work like an AMD FireSomething or Nvidia QuadroSomething. keep up the good work!

The shaders and OPenGL will take advantage of a crossfire setup so ill go for that setup in the short term. Ill get the card ordered and make an update when I get all my stuff setup.
