Description

A friend of mine referred his friend to me for a High End Gaming build.

He gave me a budget of $3.5k. This had to include OS and Monitor. He was adamant that he did not want interioir case LED lighting or Cable Sleeving. The PC is to be purely used for gaming; Battlefield1 and DOTA 2 to be specific.

I put together a part list and this is what we went ahead with...

I think it turned out really nice. And the slight hints of red on the inside of the case are not too overkill, and i really liekd how well the Case Fan LEDs shine through the front face of the case.

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

Neat water cooler that is easy enough to access settings to monitor temps and change LED settings.

Motherboard

BIOS are easy enough to with so far. I dislike the 4 LED lights that sit above the GPU. a bit tacky.... im sure it can be turned off somewhere in BIOS.

Storage

Super fast boot up! and i cant believe how small it is!

Video Card

Awesome performance, and aesthetically pleasing

Case

Cannot emphasise enough on how easy this case is to work with! Would highly recommend and it looks amazing!!!

Monitor

Amazing monitor! So smooth at such a high refresh rate....

I know right! everything about it was amazing. So easy to remove all unnecessary drive bays.. The side panels are so easy to remove and put back on... Just every thing about it seemed perfect!

I've done a couple of builds for friends and family this past year that have made me really jealous either because they got awesome deals or the build just looks 10 times better than mine.

Just wondering, why did you not go with a bigger aio since you did have a larger budget and case?

Sorry for the late reply!

The guy I built it for was not keen on over clocking, let alone water cooling... it took a lot of convincing for me to get him to give in. But I think this will be more than fine :)
