Description

This is my first desktop ever owned or built. Wanted to build something that can train neural networks (needed the 1080 ti) and figured if I was gonna spend $800 on a graphics card I may as well make a decent all around computer which can game.

This computer has worked out very well so far. No overheating or problems with the install (other than me not knowing what I was doing). Everything runs really well and I can play overwatch/PUBG on ultra with max settings perfectly. The on board wifi with the tai chi motherboard works great as well.

Improvements: I need to redo the cable management and get a black 3 to 1 fan splitter. I want to replace the top fans with RGB fans because the case has LED control up to 6 corsair fans.

My one gripe is that microcenter told that an air cooler would fit in the tai chi. When returned they also told me I needed to order the AM4 bracket from corsair and spent $20 shipping on a $5 part only to find out the H100 v2 they sold came with the bracket inside (didn't open it until I started the build).

Nice build. A minor thing is the cable management. It could be a bit better. Other than like I like what you got going.

Thanks. I know I am going to have to redo the cables but I am waiting until I get the rest of the components (hard drive and replacement fans).

Did you watch any youtube videos or did you just put the build together without any knowledge?

I watched a video of the liquid cooler install and read a couple of "step by step" guides on mistakes people make during builds. Mostly I just read the installation manuals as best I could. To be fair I have a background in computer engineering so I am comfortable with tech manuals, but ironically you never learn how to build a desktop with that degree.

"Blinky Bill" if you get the reference

Why did you name your build as you did?

I do not get the reference. Sadly, I simply named it after tweaking the LED settings to get my MOBO, fans, GPU, keyboard and mouse to sync up in unison. I tried to upload the .mov file but it looks like it did not load.

Damn, would have liked to see that. I think you can only upload images...

is the reference for blinky from Hunter X Hunter?

No. I simply named it after tweaking the LED settings to get my MOBO, fans, GPU, keyboard and mouse to sync up in unison. I tried to upload the .mov file but it looks like it did not load.
