I couldn't wait for Ryzen so here's my first build with an Intel processor. My goal was to build a computer in order to play games and also run few virtual machines on it. I did some overclocking on it, the GPU was already factory overclocked. I tested it with 4h stress test using RealBench and Aida 64 without any issues. The games I tested on it run at ultra settings with 1080p screen.

Part Reviews

Best CPU available for PC gaming, the overclocking capability using only air cooling is awesome. I could hit 5GHz easily with manual settings. 1.29V 50*100MHz

CPU Cooler

Best CPU air cooler for the money. The only thing I regret is no LED on it.

Well build motherboard. Two features were missing though the bluetooth and the wifi. I couldn't find how to change the built-in LED strip color or even the effect located in the bottom left. Comes with 5years warranty which is great

Good RAM for the price and taking in count that it comes with built-in LEDs. Cons: can't change LED effect for now

Good SSD for the money

Video Card

This GPU is better than 1060 6GB in my opinion and cost less than it. Perfs are good in gaming

Really huge case, I didn't need to turn always on the fans to cool the components. A lot of room for airflow.

Power Supply

Do the job and price is reasonnable

Operating System

I had no choice to buy it

Wireless Network Adapter

The wifi connection with this card is fast and stable

The picture quality is good and the sound is not bad at all even for a monitor

Nice build, basically the same to what I want to build. Did you oberclock the cpu to 5ghz with the hyper 212x? (That's what it says in the description, just wondering) also what are your Temps cpu and gpu?

Thanks, I used the Hyper 212x with an additionnal fan the JetFlo 120mm for a stable overclocking at 5GHz. About the temps, for the CPU I got load 56°C and idle 40°C and the GPU temps are 54°C load and 38°C.

Also how's the motherboard? Would you recommend it?

I liked it, it feels solid, comes with 5 years warranty. The only point that its lack of an onboard wifi if you'll need it. Also, Asus includes a few profiles presettis that you can use to overclock the CPU. I'll recommend it for sure. I'll post other photos later.

Sorry for the late answer, I haven't been on the website for a while. It works still great :) If you've already bought and mount your PC by parts, it should work well
