Description

My daily driver for gaming, surfing the web and other PC stuff. Cookies?! I ran a 1090t and r9 280 for the longest time I decided it was time to upgrade. Switching to Ryzen was a no brainer I almost went with a rx series amd card but I wanted to try something new after having 3 amd cards previously(4850,7850,and r9 280). While the 1080 seemed like a great idea, 3 kids and a budget didnt agree so 1070 ftw it was. Currently plan on getting the corsair m65 in white and trying to track down a white mech with cherry blues and rgb to complete my set up.

Not a huge Star Wars fan, but that wallpaper is very satisfying

Good build, a 1070 can push a 1080P monitor without a heatsink, so maybe get a 1440p of 144HZ monitor as a upgrade?

going with a 1600 myself soon. Are there any problems that you have encountered that I might come across?

The only issue I had was the early ram compatibility issue I originally bought the corsair rgb ram and had posting issues and freezing so I switched to G skill havent had any issues at all.

What issues did you have exactly? I have the exact same ram coming in the mail with the same motherboard. Thanks

If you have the g.skill ram you shouldnt have an issue. When I first bought the corsair rgb ram it would freeze and refuse to post. I would get multiple beeps and resets before it would work. Used the compatibility finder on g.skills website bought their rgb ram and returned the corsair modules

Great build, man. Looks really cool. Also, I was just wondering since I'm also getting that case and the Hue+ is two fans enough? Or do I need more? And did you get the internal USB hub? Thanks.

Im only using 2 aer rgb fans with the hue+ i also have a corsair node pro with 4 rbg strips in there. I have the nzxt internal hub powering that and my corsair h80i v2 for the leds.

Are the two fans in the front the fans that came with the case?

Why Windows 10 pro instead of the home edition? Why go for a GTX 1080 ti?

I goofed on the windows 10 its actually home edition. I bought the 1070 last year it was what I could afford at the time. It gets the job done Im happy with it

I read that people just use the asus aura software, uninstall the gskill software as it can cause conflicts with aura and brick your ram. Ill look for the thread and software when I get home and post the link. Also try reinstalling aura after you uninstall gskill
